Jane's Blessing Dress

Goose bought this beautiful Blessing dress for my mom 56 years ago and it has been worn by every woman in our family including myself, my aunts, my sister and my cousins on their Blessing Day. It is in amazing condition and I just love that my daughter gets to wear the same dress my Mom did. It was the best day with all my family, including Steve's parents. Steve gave Jane the most beautiful blessing. One of my favorite days so far!

That is an absolutely beautiful dress and it's so sweet that it has such meaning. I wish we could have been there (sniff, sniff!) She's gorgeous- and you guys look great! Give her a kiss... and call me someday, will ya? :)

The dress is beautiful...but what really matters is that you look AWESOME in that picture. :) You are glowing and you look so pretty! I think it's so funny that you were explaining to the doctor about the fat rolls. I can totally picture you doing that and it made me laugh. :) Welcome to the wonderful world of having a fat baby...(although Jane isn't really in that category yet)...my heart melts every time I see thick cheeks and fat rolls.

You look beautiful. I love the story of the dress..I really can't believe that it is in such good shape. My kids are already yellow and icky

Ok, so I should have clarified that my kids CLOTHES are yellow and icky, not my kids :-)

What a happy day full of memories and a hilarious story about the fat folds. That gunk can build up behind ears really fast too. Thanks for your comment on my blog. This is such a great way to keep in touch with all the cousins.

What a sweet picture! Whitney, you already look like you are your pre-pregnancy size!

I am definitely not! But thank you Jenny. It helps to have a disproportionately long face:)

Hey Whitney,
I think the dress story is that it was Goose's mother Mary G. Judd that bought the dress.
Check it out with Goose!!!
