My Girls

Do you think maybe I was hungry when I was picking out these dresses? Neopolitan anyone?

Before I had my girls, I would always tell people I'm just a "boy mom". I secretly feared having a daughter. I feared that she would hate me from age 13- 23, or at least pretend to hate me and blame me for all life's problems. I feared that she would one day go to therapy and spend the entire session talking about me. I feared eating disorders, body image, hormones, and self-esteem. I told people, "I just want three little boys"! I just want to fill my life with sports, mud, and movement. But everything changed on the day I was pregnant with my third child and we had an ultrasound. The technician said, "It's a girl" and my heart melted. I saw her little heart beat and fell in love with her before she was even born. I had no idea! I just didn't get it and now I do. So bring on the, "you are ruining my life" and "you just don't understand" and "you are so embarrassing". I'll take it all just to have the privilege to raise these beautiful baby girls. I just pray that they will know that they are truly daughter's of God and how lucky I am to be their mom.

Those pictures are to die for. You are such a great "girl mom" and your girls are full of life. Easter is really the only time that I envy all of you that get to dress up your little girls!!!

There IS a reason you have two girls. Actually, you should have been sent quintuplets just because you are the most amazing person I know and who better to mother kids than you? And, yes the horrible hating remarks and looks do come but, ha ha! Who told you 13? TRY 11. "Oh my gosh mom!, It's all your falult, You're so mean!, That's not fair!, Why are you always in a bad mood?" -SIGH-

I felt the same way and everything changed when we had our ultrasound too. I love the dresses. I saw those (i think the same ones) in the mall and wanted to get it for Abi but Richard would kill me if I got her another dress. She already has waaaay more than me thanks to hand-me-downs. YOur girls are so adorable.

I'd always be hungry to kiss those cheeks! Seriously, those two are the cutest girls EVER! It was SO FUN to see you guys- and Claire is just a little Whit. She was so sweet to just take our girls in and be their friends. So much like her mom who loves everyone. You ARE lucky to have girls, but not as lucky as they are to have you! You are an amazing mom and it was so fun to see you. Come visit us anytime! Love ya!

I love the matching dresses. I admit, I have bought 3 matching dresses in 3 sizes for years, but now Jessica is too old for it. She wears woman's sizes now she is so huge.
they look so cute! I am starting to get the teenage girl blues, but wouldn't trade anything.

BTW, I LOVE LOVE LOVE when you leave me comments! Keep them coming!

Darling dresses, darling girls and a darling mom. Girls are the best! I think I'm doomed though, Libby has already started the "Everything is all your fault" and she's only 6!

Your girls are soooo cute! Coming from a family of 6 girls, I don't know if I would say the verbal abuse and name calling is worth it, but everything else is :) I cant believe how big your kids are!
